Gey's Balanced Salt Solution (GBSS) is a phosphate-buffered cell suspension and washing solution, a complete balanced salt solution with a unique combination of salt forms, containing the same five basic ions as EBSS, HBSS, and DPBS.
This solution is sterile-filtered, contains calcium and magnesium, is phenol red-free, and has a pH of 7.4.
